All women in the congregation are automaticlly members of

Presbyterian    Women

Mission Statement Because we have been forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves:

The Women of Northminster were organized October, 1955.  The first council meeting was January 4, 1956 at the home of Moderator, the late, Mildred Neidig.  Thirteen members attended.  The first General Meeting

The Women have been a very vital part of Northminster since their inception, overseeing and organizing many of the activities that go on in the Church.  Members are all women who choose to participate in, or be supportive of, Presbyterian Women in any way.  The Board consists of  two Co-Moderators (sharing the responsibility of the leadership of the Women), a Secretary, Treasurer, Prayer Coordinator, Christian Community Coordinator, Missions & Recognition Coordinator, Program Coordinator, Search Committee and the Circle Chairs and Co-Chairs.  The Board meets the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m.

The membership is divided into circles to form small groups that meet monthly.  Currently, there are three circles; Rebekah Circle meets the second Wednesday of the month at 10:00 a.m.; Martha Circle meets at 1:00 p.m. the second Wednesday of the month; and Lydia Circle meets at 7:30 p.m. the second Wednesday of the month.  The circle meeting consists of a short business meeting, collecting the offering, a Bible study and a time for fellowship and refreshments.

The Women have their own annual budget supported entirely by pledges made by the members.   In addition, we also support the following through free-will offerings and collections:

In past years the women have held a bazaar in the Fall and a Spring Retreat.  Several money-making events have been held to raise funds to redecorate the Lounge and other similar projects.
