Seth has been the pastor at Northminster since August 07.  He served for three years at Wynne Presbyterian Church in Wynne, Arkansas before coming to Northminster.

Seth and his wife Beth have three beautiful children, Joel, Hannah, and Isaac.  Beth teaches elementary music in the Kansas City Kansas School District.

Rev. Wilbur Whitesidewilbur

Rev. Whiteside spent almost 30 years as the pastor of First Presbyterian Church, North Kansas City.  In June of 1944 he retired and became an employee of Merchants Bank, KCMO.

He later served as Interim Pastor at the First Presbyterian Church, Ottawa, KS and Northminster Presbyterian Church.

Jennifer Howerton - jennifer@northminsterkc.org   

Jennifer has been a member of Northminster since January of 2009.  We have been blessed to have her as a substitute pianist / choir director since April 5, 2009.

In December of 2000 Jennifer completed her Bachelors of music Education at  University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, MO.  Jennifer also holds a Master of Science in Library Science and Information Technology from UCM. 

 Jennifer has nine years experience as a music teacher.  For the last eight years she has been teaching elementary music in Excelsior Springs. 

 Jennifer and her husband Chad live just blocks from the church.  Chad is an operations manager with Davidson-Brown.

Organist/Accompanist

Jason Gunnell - jason@northminsterkc.org   

Jason comes to us from Idaho where he served for the past two years as the organist at First Presbyterian Church in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

 Jason graduated in the spring of 2007 from Brigham Young University–Idaho with a Bachelor of Arts emphasis in Organ Performance.  During his undergraduate years, Jason accompanied several choirs on piano and organ at BYU–Idaho and Utah State University. While at BYU-Idaho, Jason taught courses in Music Theory and gave organ lessons.

 Jason, his wife Kate, and their one year old son Grant moved to Lawrence, KS a few weeks ago so that Jason could begin working on his Master in Church Music with an emphasis  in Organ Performance at the University of Kansas.  This is a two year program and Jason plans on continuing to work toward a doctorate in organ performance.
